I seem to have always had stomach issues thinking it was acid reflux, some intestinal disorder, and many other things that were ruled out. As a kid, my stomach hurt a lot and I had similar symptoms but nothings quite as bad as this year. Last April, my health took a turn for the worse I had fatigue, vomiting, joint pain, bloating, low iron, nausea, pallor, I was always hungry yet the food made my stomach hurt like severe mentral cramps. No one could figure out what was wrong with me, no doctors, I was diagnosed with an intestinal disorder that is about 8 sylables long but the meds made me feel even more sick. It was so bad that I had to take some time off for a few months.

I guess there has been a lot of speculation and rumor about when I wasn’t available like I was arrested, had a baby, lol, and a few other funny ones. The fact is that I have been sick and it has been awful. Those the spread the rumors won’t read my blogs to see the real reason but hey, if they are talking about me, they are leaving other people alone right? Right.

So my mom was wathing TV and saw a show on Celiac Disease and all the symptoms seemed to ring true with what my symptoms are. This week I started a new diet that is gluten free and I am already feeling better. I am trying it until Friday to see the real result and the doctor said it can take as little as 3 days to tell a difference. I am seeing a difference already because I am not bloated and I seem to not be retaining as much water. My face isn’t as full(water retention) and I have lost a few pounds, and my energy and mood seem to be in much better shape than last week. Last week was also a great week in NYC but when you aren’t feeling well, you can be in paradise and be grouchy.
I should know for sure in a few days but so far, I am feeling much better. I don’t have to go lay down after I eat and I’m not popping tums or other acid reflux meds like candy. Wish me luck, I think I have this thing figured out and its ass kicked!

I have had a wonderful time in New York so far, meeting some old friends and making new ones. My experience on the East Coast always seems so different than the West Coast. I’m really not sure what it is but I always have a fantastic time whenever I am here. The food is amazing even at the smallest diner, the coffee is also top notch. I went to a local comedy club the other night and wow, I have to go all the time now! Or at least when I am in town. Each comedian had their own style and it was so much better than watching them on comedy central. They played off the crowd heckled some people, and everyone laughed, even the ones that were heckled. Some of the jokes were so off the cuff that the comedians were laughing at themselves. Afterward, I explored a local strip club and had such a great time. The staff were very nice and watchful, the girls were all beautiful and kind. Their sweet attitudes made it so much more enjoyable than some of the other clubs I have been in. They actually seemed happy! It reminded me of how much fun I had as a dancer in Memphis, TN In our economic climate I hear about dancers are having a very hard time. I am really looking forward to going to NYC! I’ll be staying in Manhattan in a wonderful hotel. I hope to meet old friend while I am there that moved from LA. Its the sucky part of our job, I think most of us like it the very least out of everything to do with escorting. Its not the dishing hundreds of dollars out on ads, dealing with funky photographers, a few warped clients here and there, or even the drama on boards. The thing most of us despise as much as clients to is the screening. It is a constant, cumbersome, and often time consuming task we all wish we didn’t have to do.

Then why the heck to we do it? We want to avoid undesirables, dangerous clients, rip-off artists and people who we choose not to see. I myself do not see members of law enforcement and this is fairly common. There are some ladies who will see the sheriff or DA, but not me. I’m about to launch my new model recruitment marketing campaign and I’m so excited! I have a brand new office and studio to meet the models and interview them. I am putting together a new model questionnaire to ensure I have all the info about their interests in shooting as well as model releases for the shoots themselves.

What happens at a interview?

Interviews are very quick, easy and basic. The model comes in at the scheduled time and fills out an information sheet/questionnaire.I check their ID to make sure they are 18 years of age or older. I interview the model and we discuss testing, shoots they are interested in,limitations,rates, their schedule, ect. Last is the body check.

What is a body check?

A body check is simply 5 pictures of the model from different angles IE: head shot, front, sides and back. They are full body shots with the exception of the head shot. This is to get the most accurate updated pic of what the model looks like, and this way, I can see if there are any stretch marks, tattoos or anything else I should be aware of that I may have to shoot around. Sometimes a body check will let me know that I do not want to shoot a particular model if they don’t fit what I am looking for or if the initial pics they sent are extremely inaccurate to what they look like now.

After the body check is over, I double check to see if the model has any questions, concerns, or anything else they would like to add. Then hopefully at that time I can either schedule a shoot or they are a great candidate for an upcoming shoot I have in mind.

I graduated from the dungeon in my garage to a whole studio space that I absolutely love!
