I recently did a pin-up shoot and it was the most fun I have had at a shoot in a long time. There were so many great shots that I can’t wait to see them! I did receive a few over the weekend, one being on the “what’s new page” Yes, those are really my legs:) I’m shooting with the photographer again the 2st week in June and we are doing some black & white shots and some old Hollywood shots.

As I do more work, I’ll add more to the portfolio, including some youtube projects I have in mind. They are really more for fun and creativity but also examples of acting, how much of a goof I really am and a little more of my personality that casting agents will be able to see. I decided to travel down to San Diego and I’ll be there from May 29th-31st. I have gotten so many requests there from photographers that I though,”Why not?”

While I’m there I get to do a ton of testing for different projects. A test for a model means the photographers take a few pics and then send them to their clients to see if I am a good fit for the projects they currently have or some upcoming ones. Some of the tests I have set up are for lingerie catalogs, pin-up photography and calendars.

It’s been quite a while since I have been there. The last time I was there I took my mom to see Sylvia Brown live. I swear we are like 2 kids sometimes with the goofy stuff we do. We stayed in a hotel looking over the water. I though it would be a waste if we didn’t since the ocean is so beautiful. It’s very soothing to go to sleep to. Not that we slept. We ordered pizza and pepsi, rented a few movies that were still in theaters, and giggled like school girls all night. She makes a great travel companion for me except that I don’t get much sleep,lol.

I feel so much better with a tan. there’s something about the way your skin feels after you’ve spent the afternoon in the pool. Of course I have tan lines due to my bathing suit but its kinda cute too. I thought about wearing the same bathing suit in the tanning bed, but then again, maybe its better to have faint lines instead of that 80’s white boobies and ass, lol!

I didn’t have to go swimsuit shopping this summer because I went ahead and bought 4 on sale(that are gorgeous) at the end of last season. You can really get some great deals and swimsuits don’t really go out of style when you buy bikinis

I went through my closet today and had to get rid of so many clothes. The new “girls” just don’t fit in some of my little outfits, lol! All the bras are history of course. I was still able to squeeze into a few but that’s because I took the pads out and they are only for photoshoots. there are some clothes, dresses and shirts that I tried on that I was so pleased with. They looked better now than they did before, woohoo!

I hated getting rid of some things but the good thing is that there is an organization here in Las Vegas that you can donate clothing to that helps the ladies and children suffering from domestic violence. They put the women up in safe houses and many times, they have nothing but the shirts on their backs. Many times the clothes they are in are filthy from a fight that just ensued and they need fresh, clean clothing.

So, I bagged up about 5 bags of clothing and headed over to the donation center. On the way, I stopped and picked up some socks, underwear and flip flops, which ended up filling up another bag. I couldn’t just go there with bags of bras and tops.

Helping others that need a hand is one of the most rewarding things you can do.

I’m so excited, I’m going to LA next week to shoot for some men’s Magazines! Woohoo! I’m not sure which ones yet and haven’t shot for any magazines for awhile but this is my favorite type of shoot. With the new look comes different work for me. I don’t really fit in the barely 18 magazines anymore but now get to shoot for all the busty ones, hehehe…

When I was a little girl, growing up in that tiny town back in Indiana, I saw the most beautiful women. They were my mom and my grandmother of course. Sigh, so fate would have it that I was a late bloomer and I took after my fathers side when it came to my bustline. I expected to look like my mom and grandma, and I did from the waist down and the neck up.

So, I took a hiatus and fixed what was bothering me, and while I was at it, I made another change. I’m now a blonde! Not bleach blonde, that would look like hell on me! And difficult to keep up on.

I now see in the mirror what feel like on the inside. I look like my family that I admired and prayed to look like as a child. Its a huge change for me but I’m so happy I cannot even begin to tell you.

I no longer have people asking what grade I am in or if I am going to the prom. I still get looked at but as a woman instead of a teenager. I know that was a big draw with the adult industry but I’m so sick of the “little girl” look that it now kinda makes me sick to think back on it. I know I will get flack for it but when don’t I?

I was afraid to make the changes for fear that clients would not want to see me anymore but there are other clients out there that will love this new look. Besides, I’m still little ol’ me. I just have some upgrades now. I denied myself what other women do all the time, they change the way they look. This is me, who I want to be, and what I want to look like. I’m finally happy in my own skin, lacking nothing, not wanting something else, yearning to make a change.

I now closely resemble the most beautiful women on earth…my mom.

It felt so good to take some time for myself. I didn’t mean to when I did since I have such extensive travel planned. Life changes though and you have to roll with it!

So I rolled with it and now I feel very refreshed and at peace with myself. I needed the time off because I was getting a tad bit, well, bitter. I was letting the negative crap get to me.

I feel so much better now and have a new perspective. In light of taking this time off and doing for myself, I decided to write a little guide for other adult industry gals on taking care of themselves so they don’t get burnout, or at least recognize the symptoms in time before it happens.

Everyone has the risk of getting burnout. I’m sure many people are feeling it due to the recession we are in. yes, I said it, RECESSION. Life is shit for many people right now that are trying to make ends meet, keep their house, put gas in their cars, and just live life with their families. They are tired of being stressed and are depressed. there are many other symptoms that go along with it and sometimes its hard to pull yourself out of the slump you feel. It has to get better, and it will. Ok, end what would be the start of a long rant. that’s for another blog entry.
So, I’m back, and its good to be back in front of my computer, well, new computer. Damn that Vista operating system but I’m learning! Its a little quirky and there are some things that it does with folders that infuriated me. Sometimes it reminds me of…”shivers”…AOL.

AOL is not a bad thing at all, but it irritates me the same way mac does. All the happy crap and smiley cartoon icons, bleh. I like it rough, like with my PC, lol!
